Bill Gates in Antarctica

According to his Twitter, Bill Gates just returned from a trip to Antarctica with his son and his father. From his website, it looks as if he really enjoyed the scenery, but he also reflected on how climate change is affecting the Antarctic. Gates has been thinking about climate change for a while now, from the looks of things. It's good that he got a chance to see Antarctica and understand what's at stake for the continent in the climate change debate. As countries bicker over who's responsible for mitigating carbon emissions, it may fall to outsiders to develop real solutions. Although the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation doesn't focus on global warming right now, I'm glad it's on their radar.
